Courses

The teaching approach is based on the understanding that the fastest way to learn a language is to speak it. Speaking skills will
take up 75% of your time. In every class, our teachers create fun
activities to help you practice English out loud, perfecting your
pronunciation and learning new vocabulary by using it, not just filling out worksheets. You’ll get to practice your English skills in real-life situations, like mock interviews, playing fun games.

American interns attend General English classes each week and join your conversation exercises to give you the chance to hear and speak conversational English. The grammar, reading, writing and listening skills you need are all built into the teaching structure. The teachers are dedicated to help you learn English.

They all have a Batchelor’s degree, TESOL/TEFL certification or a Masters degree in TEFL. Teachers also have an average of 5+ years of experience, so they have the skills, knowledge and passion to help students of all abilities fulfil their potential.

Your English level is assessed when you arrive to make sure you get the best class for your ability. We mould the syllabus and content to the particular goals and needs of the class members. Reaching your goals is our focus and every month you will have a one-to-one meeting with a mentor to review your progress and make sure you are on track towards achieving your aims.

Learning English in the USA is about more than studying in the
classroom. Staff put together great activities that get you out of the school and practice your English while you’re at a White Sox game, taking a free yoga class at Grace Cathedral, or chowing down at an American barbecue at the beach.

Courses are very flexible and last from 1-51 weeks. They are suitable for all levels of ability from beginner to proficient. The maximum class size is 14, but the average size is 10. Lessons last 45 minutes. We have Standard, Intensive and Super Intensive packages.

Intensive: 25 lessons per week, Monday to Thursday classes in the morning or afternoon + one elective class.

Grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening and speaking skills are all integrated into your classes. The curriculum is divided into ten levels. Level 1 is our

Skills classes use textbooks, quizzes, videos and online material to develop reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.

You will learn grammar and everyday vocabulary and how to read and talk about topics in the news. In speaking class you will learn slang and idiom by listening to conversations, interacting with interns and recording and reviewing yourself. We will teach you how to speak naturally, how to pronounce properly and express yourself fluently.
For the intensive and Super Intensive options you have a choice of elective modules such as; current events, social media, global issues, popular English, pronunciation clinic, business communication, pre-IELTS grammar and news media.
