The school is on the first floor of a modern office block. It was established in 1993 and is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, within walking distance of all the major attractions and right next to bus and train services.
The school runs a varied social programme. Outings to pubs, restaurants and parks allow you to develop your English skills outside of the classroom.
Summer activities include cycling, river rafting and hiking; winter activities include skiing, snowboarding and ice-skating. Trips are organised to the Whistler ski resort and the capital city Victoria every month.
The average age of students is 20-25. Students come from Asia, Europe and South America. The top 4 nationalities are Japan, Korea, Mexico and Brazil.
Most teachers have more than 15 years experience in the ESL field and teach Form (Grammar & Vocabulary), Meaning (visualizing the language), and Use (social use of English in real cultural situations).
The school creates a safe and respectful learning environment where English is always spoken. Students are assessed by their teacher weekly. Test scores become part of a Student Profile so that students can check their progress.
During the lessons you will learn communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. The lessons cover grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and practice skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Teachers use a wide variety of materials and exercises including role-plays, authentic recorded material, newspapers and magazines. There are 20, 24 or 30 lessons a week over 5 days. Maximum class size is 15. Minimum age 16. Courses last from 1-50 weeks.
Each module has a combination of written exercises, presentations, dialogues and role-plays in realistic business situations. You practice and improve your skills in: business vocabulary and “buzz words”, email, memo and letter writing, negotiating, interviewing and communicating by telephone.

The course has 30 lessons a week. 20 general English lessons, covering; grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing. The additional 10 lessons are focused on exam practice and the study skills needed to get a high score. The course lasts from 1-24 weeks. Maximum class size is 15. Minimum age is 16.
