Teachers are skilled at tailoring lessons to meet the needs of the students in each class, taking into account interests, strengths and weaknesses, as well as short and long term goals.
Your progress is checked throughout your stay. Your teacher will let you know how you are doing in class, mark your homework and correct mistakes as well as giving you progress tests. Lesson plans are adapted according to the results.
Lessons focus on everyday English with an emphasis on common situations, such as travelling, shopping, and leisure time. The course will usually follow a course book, but also uses a wide range of other materials, including real-life listening and video examples, authentic texts and on-line resources. The content of the lessons is adapted to your needs and interests.
The additional lessons in the Intensive English course focus on practical communication rather than grammar. They explore a greater range of situations and a wider use of language for faster progress.
They use discussion and role plays to teach practical language for specific business situations.
The content of the Business English course is flexible. Lesson plans are negotiated with students so they can be adapted to suit the interests and needs of the group.
The IELTS classes develop the specific skills needed for the exam. This includes English reading, writing, speaking and listening, with an emphasis on British or international English. Throughout the course there will be tests and mock exams.
