The school is on the 6th floor of a 17 story building in Midtown
Manhattan. It is next to the 28th Street subway and 2 minutes from the bus stop.

The school has a social programme with trips to art galleries,
Broadway theatres, museums, baseball games, Central Park and landmarks like the Empire State Building.

Courses

The school follows an interactive teaching methodology to make
lessons interesting, engaging and enjoyable and bring English to
life. Classrooms are Wi-Fi enabled with interactive whiteboards, and digital media so teachers can use graded materials as well as real world English.

Class work is combined with graded homework and field trips and activities to give you a complete experience, you learn English everywhere you go.

Teachers help students stay focused and make steady progress
with personal learning plans, an e-portfolio of your work, an entry
and exit test, a weekly test and review and a monthly test with a
report.

Students can access lessons, homework and learning materials via an online learning platform.

Type of courses

For students at Elementary level and upwards. General English is a structured programme to suit all levels. It develops essential speaking, listening, reading and writing skills for everyday use. The standard programme is 20 lessons a week and follows a core general English syllabus. The intensive programme is 28 lessons a week and combines the core general English programme with electives. It enables you to study in more depth, to improve in a particular area and to customize your course to focus on an area of interest.

Electives include:

 Communication Skills – Learn what to say in everyday social situations at elementary and intermediate levels. Expand public speaking and presentation skills at intermediate and advanced levels
 Pronunciation Skills - Improve your ability to understand spoken English and be understood. Learn the pronunciation problems of speakers of your mother tongue
 TOEFL Exam Preparation - exam skills training, and practice tests.
 English for University - Learn to take notes, write academic essays, and understand lectures and seminars.
 Business Communication - The language of negotiations, sales, marketing, meetings, presentations, and the business writing language of emails and reports. Practise with business role-plays and business simulations.

For students with Intermediate Level English or above. There are 28 lessons a week. The course teaches the language of business, negotiations, sales and marketing, meetings, and presentations. Skills are practiced with business role-plays and business simulations. The course will help you feel more confident with clients, colleagues and suppliers, teaching you English for entertaining & socialising in a business context. You will improve key business writing skills especially digital: emails, texts & tweets. You will leave the course with your own e-portfolio, demonstrating your language ability to employers.

Courses last 2-24 weeks. Maximum class size is 15. Minimum age 16.

For students at Intermediate level and above. This is a structured course with teachers experienced in studying for and achieving success in exams. The course has 20 focused TOEFL lessons a week. You can add 8 elective classes from the General English list or you can take the General English Course and add 8
focused TOEFL lessons as an elective. You study the English skills you’ll be tested on, learn exam strategies, practice tests and mock exams, learn which answers score highest and become familiar with the North American accents used in TOEFL

The maximum class size is 15. The minimum age is 16

Make your home in Brooklyn Heights, a short walk from Cadman Plaza Park and the thrift shops and chain stores on Montague Street. Pack a picnic and spend an afternoon sunbathing in Brooklyn Bridge Park, and stroll along Brooklyn Heights Promenade to take in the gorgeous views across the river to Manhattan’s skyscrapers. Then, walk downtown to take advantage of the eclectic range of eateries on offer. Try Pollo d’Oro for Peruvian specialities and rotisserie chicken, or Café Habana for an award-winning Cuban sandwich.
