Students engage with the language, learning about other classmates and different cultures around the world, all within an English context. As well as taking an active part in classroom discussions, students work on their language skills in small groups, pairs or individually on tasks and projects.

Feedback and Testing:
Students receive continuous one-to-one feedback with their teacher throughout each course, where they can discuss their progress and any areas for improvement.
At the beginning of each course, students are tested for language ability using the Oxford Online Placement Test (prior to arrival) or EC Cambridge’s own test (on arrival) to assess language ability. There are nine levels, from Beginner to Proficient, and students are placed in classes according to their place on the scale. EC Cambridge also has a Progress Planner which helps students plan their route to fluency.
