Classes are designed to motivate students and give them the confidence to take an active role in each lesson. If students have strengths the teachers will actively try to improve on them. Equally, if they have weaknesses, the teachers will work hard to improve their skills and encourage them to become confident learners. Classes are not only book based.
Teachers use music videos and films to engage students in the English language. The internet and newspapers are also used. This helps them to understand how English is used in everyday settings by native speakers.
Every day of the week there are activities which student are encouraged to take part in, to enhance their experience of learning English. They can meet in the common room to get to know their fellow students.
Some of the teaching is done in an informal setting. Students and teachers go to a local café for coffee and a general chat in an informal setting. This helps students feel more relaxed.
