The school is in a modernised four-story Victorian building within easy reach of the city centre and the train station.
The school is next door to Hove College, where students can combine our General English courses with web and graphic design diplomas. There is a weekly social programme with events such as barbeques, international food parties, volleyball on the beach and trips to the historic Royal Pavilion. Top nationalities at the school are Swiss, South Korean, Italian and French.
Teaching methods are varied to maintain a high level of interest. In class, feedback is an essential part of the learning process. Small classes and flexible teaching means that teachers can respond to any specific needs and correct any aspect of English to help students improve.
The school uses class trips and external resources as much as possible to provide a personal, authentic, learning experience. There are weekly progress tests and regular 1-to-1 tutorials to discuss progress towards your goals. Outside class you can use my BSC, an online learning environment with extra tasks and project. This is available to all students from the time you book, until 3 months after you have left the school.

The aim is to help you use newly acquired skills in real-life situations, immediately. Course intensity varies from 15 to 30 lessons. Morning classes are based around a coursebook lesson, followed by a Speaking & Listening class. Afternoon intensive courses offer you the chance to focus on specific language areas Depending on your needs and preferences you might choose:
Grammar and writing
Word power for accurate use of idioms, colloquialisms, phrasal verbs, slang etc.
Courses last from 2 – 48 weeks. Maximum class size of 14, average 11. Minimum age 16.
The course is designed to widen your knowledge of specific vocabulary in a work context and business situations. Morning sessions concentrate on the four main skills – speaking, listening, reading and writing. 2 afternoons a week students take specialised Business English classes with a focus on communication in business situations.
The school is an official agent and test centre for students who wish to take the BULATS (Business Language Testing Service) exam. The BULATS exam is an online test involving reading, use of English and listening.
In addition there are 5,10 or 15 lessons a week with the choice of Speaking and Listening, Grammar and Writing, Wordpower and Business English, depending on your needs and interests.
During the first three lessons of the day the work done in class is based around a specialist IELTS coursebook. Supplementary material is used from authentic sources such as newspapers.
